Black Helicopters....
Wondering about all the helicopter activity lighting up the night sky? I have it from a friend who's former military that they are military training exercises. They are either SEALs, Airforce or Marines practicing urban assault maneuvers. Simulating landing on rooftops and dropping off or picking up crews. I first noticed them a week or so ago and saw what looked like landings on City Hall East. Then I saw a fleet of them over the old cornfield. Sounds like the pilots are practicing flying in/around urban skylines.

Hi, I happened upon your blog after searching for "Burgers N Shit" :D I noticed the last time I was in the area that it was no more! From your description I guess that was a good thing. I couldn't believe a place with that name actually existed! Anyhoo, I'm in the area every couple months or so for the artwalk (going tonight, as a matter of fact)--and I've noticed how it's been evolving. This blog is very cool--I'll be visiting again!
Ah Hah! So that's what those choppers were doing. They were driving me crazy for about a week straight and I wondered who was so important to be picked up by 3 copters on City Hall East. I'm glad it was training for military and not a "quick exit" for a particular politician...
